The most difficult part of any invention is getting people to believe in your product and your dream. I think the biggest problem with a flying car is that it just doesn't appeal to the mainstream. People can hardly drive on marked streets well enough these days. I wouldn't worry about how those cars look, prototypes often look awful, the main thing is that people are trying to refine the technology that might some day make a big difference!
